So we have compiled some of the most common questions we get about booking your dream vacation with China Wandering. We want to make the process simple, transparent, and stress-free.

You can send your inquiry with the “Contact Us” form stating your questions or requirements.

A travel consultant will get in touch with you to discuss and design your travel itinerary for you. After confirming your requests and preferences, we will provide a recommended itinerary and a quote for your review. You can request to change anything on the itinerary until you are happy with the proposal. This itinerary is fully personalized to you.

Once you have agreed to the proposal, you can proceed to make a deposit to confirm your travel booking with us. Your travel consultant will provide details on how to proceed.

Yes you can! You can book car services, tour guide services, train tickets, attraction tickets separately with us.
You can send your inquiry with the “Contact Us” form stating your questions or requirements and a travel consultant will get in touch with you.

We are able to provide multi language tour guide services. Please inform us early if you need a different language tour guide.

Yes, our tours are customized for you and flexible, so you can change the itinerary at anytime.

However, when the deposit is paid, you have agreed to the itinerary provided to you. As a result, we will have to charge you for additional costs incurred as a result of the change, including new costs of services provided, cancellation charges for services cancelled, etc.

We will be able to provide recommendations for certain dietary requirements. Please discuss your requirements with us before your trip.

We are definitely able to cater to your requirements and customise the tour for elderly and young children. Typically, we will recommend a slower pace for the tour, which will allow you to have a relaxed tour.

You can raise these requirements when discussing with your travel consultant, and we will endeavour to make it a wonderful trip for you.

It will be your responsibility to determine if you are able to travel and consult your medical practitioner accordingly.

We will try our best to highlight some of the possible conditions you may encounter especially when travelling to areas with high altitude. Some parts of China may be remote and may not have easy access to medical facilities, and/or the medical facilities may not be of a similar standard to those found in your home country. We do not bear any responsibility on the availability or standards of the medical facilities. However, if there is emergency assistance required, we will provide the appropriate assistance as quickly as possible.

If you have any pre-existing medical conditions that may impact your travel, you should get a written medical clearance from your doctor and carry it with you during your travel. Please highlight this to us before booking travel with us.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your holiday arrangement, please inform your driver, tour guide or your travel consultant immediately to provide feedback, so we strive to resolve your problems as soon as possible.

Please note if you do not raise this to us at the time it occurred, we may not be able to resolve it to the best of our ability. As a result, we are unable to accept any liability with regards to the problem / complaint.

If you run into difficulties during the trip, you can contact your local guide, driver or your travel consultant via Wechat or Whatapp immediately and we will provide the appropriate assistance as quickly as possible.
You can also contact local authorities to get help if needed. You can dial 110 to contact the police or dial 120 to request for medical assistance.

We recommend you booking your trip 2 - 3 months before your intended travel so that you can guarantee a lower cost on your package. Your trip is considered booked once you pay the 50% deposit to confirm the trip.

You will need to pay the 30% deposit to confirm your trip once you are happy with the itinerary offered. The remaining balance payment is required to be made upon pick up at the agreed destination.

We only offer payments by Wechat / Alipay. Credit card/debit card payments are currently not accepted. It is highly recommended to seek the help of your travel consultant when making payment to determine the most appropriate payment method based on your location, exchange rate and other factors.

Please note we are not responsible for any charges levied by third parties or financial institutions and payable by you as a result of your payment transactions.

We are definitely sad if you have to cancel your trip to China, however we realize that there are many reasons why this happens.

There will be some charges incurred if you cancel the tour. The reason being we have to pay our suppliers on specific schedules. We are simply covering the incurred costs. We hope you understand.

China has become cashless country due to the convenience of mobile payment, so you will not need to carry cash with you. You can use cash to pay, however, some shops do not have the relevant change to provide to you, so you may have to wait a little while for them to get the change required.

Most places do not accept credit cards directly, except for certain hotels.
We recommend you to download two most used payment mobile apps in China – Wechat and Alipay. After downloading both apps, you are required to perform identity verification before you are able to link your credit/debit cards.

Please contact your bank to authorise your card for international use.

The preferred method to pay is using Wechat or Alipay.

There are 2 ways of payment:

  1. The merchant will scan your QR code on your app. Present your payment QR code in front of the scanning machine and it will automatically deduct from your account
  2. You scan the merchant’s QR code displayed in the shop. Open your app, scan the QR displayed, input the payment amount required, enter your password to complete the transaction.

We understand your concern on privacy and we take serious responsibility for the protection of your data.

Information we will need to collect include your passport details. Your information will not be provided to any other company except for the sole purpose of arranging and booking your tours, including booking your train tickets and hotels or applying for travel permits in certain areas like Tibet.

In some cases, we may be required to provide your information to the authorities as required by law.
